Colour Throwdown #429 Guest Spot

I'm rotten at keeping secrets but I did it.

Yahoo, how exciting is that, nothing nicer than getting a message like that.
So I have a Guest Spot today for Color Throwdown #429

Colours are described as Orange, Teal and Black. I have gone a little darker
in the Teal than the spots here but then Teal can cover a wide range. This is mine

I started out dieting some card stock in teal and orange but it
wasn't happening for me. Really I'm a colour-er if thats such a word.
I was looking through my stamps and this little Missy caught my eye.

Coloured with Copics little Miss Strut your stuff and her Best Friend.
Matching colours no less. A bit of sparkle on Best Friend which
ended up covering the Teal dots, was meant to be clear - ho hum.

Cut out the 'Be' and 'Fabulous' three times in shiny black card stock.
Glued the layers together with a glue pen- enjoying using that pen and not ending
up with glue all over the place. Attached the die cut sentiment then stamped
the sentiment and finished off with some black enamel dots to hide some
orange specks that must have jumped from my pen onto the cardstock.

Don't forget to go to the Colour Throwdown to check out what the
Design Team have made to inspire you.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

  1. Hi Aileen,
A great card, must admit I love the colour combinations really looks dramatic, well done. I think you mean diecutting the cardstock rather than dieting cardstock 😄... auto correct I suspect, took me a minute to figure out what it would be 😉
Congrats on your guest spot, a very worthy choice!
BTW I have a little blog candy on offer now ..
Thanks for sharing your inspiration! ❤

  4. What an adorable image!! And your coloring is spot on. How clever to use enamel dots as cover ups. Why can't I ever think of that when I need to...? Congrats on the guest spot too.
